Physical properties
The material density is about 7.5 g/cm³ and the hardness is relatively high, making it easier to machine and apply. Thermal stability is one of the weaknesses of NdFeB materials. Its magnetic properties decrease with increasing temperature. The usual operating temperature range is -40°C to 150°C. High temperature environments require doping and surface treatment to improve performance.
Microstructure Analysis
The grain size inside NdFeB permanent magnets is usually controlled at the micron level, and the non-magnetic phase and chemical composition distribution at the grain boundary have a significant impact on the magnetic properties. 5. Application prospects and challenges
With the shortage of rare earth resources and the increase in environmental protection requirements, NdFeB permanent magnets face many challenges. Material design needs to reduce dependence on heavy rare earth elements (such as Dy) to reduce costs and resource risks. The improvement of high-temperature performance, the improvement of recycling technology, and the development of green manufacturing processes have become research hotspots.
